WANT TO SUBMIT YOUR STORY?
IMPORTANT SUBMISSION INFORMATION:
The Red Treehouse is open to all submissions, fiction and non-fiction, with exception of stories that depict child abuse, sexual assault/rape, extreme violence, and/or graphic sexual content.
The Red Treehouse has a strict anti-AI policy. Every episode of the show is painstakingly researched, written, produced, and marketed without the use of AI. As such, this is the well-established standard for The Red Treehouse, and any story that is suspected to have been written with ChatGPT or AI will be rejected, no exceptions.
If unsure whether your story will be accepted for narration, contact Will at redtreehousepod@gmail.com to discuss further.
SO YOU WANT TO SUBMIT YOUR STORY! HERE'S HOW:
All stories up to 2500 words will be featured alongside other listener submissions.
All stories 2500-6000 words will be narrated as a standalone episode.
All stories 6000-18000 words will be divided into two parts and will be released in consecutive days.
All stories 18000+ will be divided into three parts and will be released in consecutive days.
YOUR STORY HAS BEEN ACCEPTED! WHAT NOW?
All listener submitted stories will be narrated in the last week of each month.
Upon acceptance for narration, the writer agrees to allow The Red Treehouse one-time narration rights.
The writer retains all proprietary rights to their story.
Accepted stories do not include an exclusivity agreement. This means the writer is able to submit their story for publication and/or narration elsewhere, at their discretion and without a required waiting period.
YOUR STORY IS LIVE! WHAT TO EXPECT:
On the day of release, The Red Treehouse will give full attribution to the writer. This includes, but is not limited to:
Full name (or pen name) in the introduction/conclusion of the episode
Full name (or pen name) in the show notes
Social media handles in the show notes
Links to website/publication/store in the show notes
Social media postings (including "collaboration" on Instagram)
The Red Treehouse will ensure anonymity at the writer's request.
